We decided to follow the success of Farmville and created an app on Facebook. The whole app thing is terribly messy, and while it works for us at the moment, we still want to make sure it works for everybody else too. So, if you have a Facebook account, please visit http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=132736180079596 and click on Go to application. Post your experiences here together with your browser and OS. We are especially interested in how it runs with IE. Cheers!

I liked afterwind, i sent invites to my friends and played it as an app embedded on facebook. One thing I noticed right away is I dont get a link to the game on my facebook homepage. I dont know, if thats their end or your end. I do know that having that link there is important when trying to acquire players from facebook because it makes it very easy for them to revisit your app. Also, I am not seeing your ad anymore when playing other facebook embedded games... which is how I was introduced to this game. I dont know if certain app devs pay for advertising on facebook, but having that ad there could bring thousands of players. Firefox on Windows XP. I dont notice any difference in gameplay while playing as a fb app (no lag, etc)

Thanks, sificvoid. I myself did get an Afterwind link on my profile page, automatically. Nothing we can do about it anyway, it's all Facebook's. The ad is not there anymore because we only paid for one day, a minor $50 campaign. We don't have tons of money to throw away on ads unfortunately... The only other paid ad we bought was on reddit.com, it should appear there on Sunday.

The app is a bit too small, so I switch to full-screen. When I want to write something in the chat line, it reverts back to the small window though.

In the lobby, when clicking "Return to the homepage" I get an "unknown server error: server disconnected" or something like that. Both in Firefox on WinXP.

Silverlight doesn't support text input in full-screen mode for "security reasons". Hopefully MS will change their minds about it.

there is a way to play aw in fullscreen and be able to use the chat: You have to have firefox (it probally works with others too) and have two tabs (the first (from left to right) aw and the other any other page) go to the second tab and press f11, then wait for the top to disappear. Hold controle and press 1 (you chosed the first tab) and done you just have to be carefull to not to move the mouse over the very top page because the top bar will show up again and wont remove itself automatically (thats why you have to repeat the whole procedure if you really care )

I think it ran pretty smoothly in the facebook App. Aside from small screen, it works well when i put it on fullscreen. Hopefully this will bring in more people to play

Tried it, works the same as the non-Facebook version. Gave a good review and liked it, hopefully more of my friends will join.
