In what might be the last update before 1.0, we have a few nice new features for you:

  • Generals. We decided to put YOU into the game as a General, personally comanding your armies. After a few upgrades (first starting with just 25 SP), General will provide bonus stats to all/certain units in his stack.

    At the moment, there's not much else to it - however, in the nearest future you will be able to upload custom icon for your General and play a new Victory Condition, revolving around Generals. Rare unit Generals will also make an appearance.

  • Duels. Similarly to Coalition Wars, you can now challenge other players to a Duel during a game. The Duel button is located in the Players menu, next to the Diplomacy buttons. The rules are simple - the first player eliminated from the game loses the duel. If both are eliminated in the same turn or both win the game, duel is cancelled. When you click the Duel button, an confirmation message will pop up, informing you how many SP you can win or lose depending on the outcome.

    The calculation of the SP rewards is similar to CP in Coalition wars and depends on the difference between the SP of the opponents. Minimum is 1 SP, maximum is 500 SP. Here's the formula:
    (loserSP/((player1SP+player2SP)/2))*200

    Minimum rank to participate in a Duel is 2.

  • Direct link to the game. You can now copy the URL from the address bar or from the Game settings and give it to someone you want to invite into the game - this link contains the game ID and will lead directly into the game you're currently playing.

  • End game screen fixed - the list of players now scrolls properly.

    Yes, earned points, duels won/lost and history will all be added to profiles later.

    Yes, it's very much killable, having only 1 attack/defence/HP. No, you cannot make a new one.

    Ah, alright. So master of stealth users have to hope for a rare unit, in order for generals to be usefull to them?
    The only thing I can currently use them for is defending my capital. While other strategies profit from increased speed, attack, defense, ARB and what not.
    This new update is great and I thank you for it, but I also would like to be able to actually use one of my generals.

    No need to be so dramatic, everyone has an equal opportunity to make their Generals useful. Being just one small aspect of the game, they don't necessarily have to be adapted for absolutely everyone's playing style.

    Every strategy profits from it, except master of stealth. Even guerilla warfare can use it with it's huge militia stacks.
    I'm sorry to be bitching about this, but I can already see a 150 infantry stack rolling at me, with +1 attack, +1 defense, +1 ARB and + 1 speed to every unit.
    And you yourself said, that one stat more or less can make a huge diffrence. Here it's already 4 of them.

    Okay, I just came from playing a europe game, and I have to say this: GENERALS MAKE EVERYTHING OVERPOWERED FOR HIGH-RANKERS!!! there, I said it... Let me explain: So this was a europe+ game, and I was playing PD from moscow... Then a rank 6 appears from england and kills everyone with about 30 tanks and his general... Wait what? Can someone explain why 30 tanks with a jacked general wiped not only me, with PD and about 50 mix infantry bombers in my cap, but like 4 other players?

    Hmm...so generals are very killable? yikes...after 1 short match I can say I want some sort of immortal general upgrade, as it and a stack of tanks died to defense in Kiev...the agony!

    Fantastic update. One question: Can you make it show "duel" relationship between players in the diplomacy map, like it shows peace/alliance. Maybe make it a blue line? (maybe it does this already, I havent seen any duels)

    No, you don't get to keep rare Generals - they act just like any other rare units.

    May I request that the list of players at the end of the game is in order of SP gained? That's what most players are looking for in most games--which player gained the most SP. I'm sure this won't be difficult to implement.
