I've lost my faith in the dueling community.

Ever since I started Atwar, it has never been so difficult for me to get a duel. The lack of available duels have gotten so bad that I've completely lost all faith in dueling.
Trying to find a duel with anybody is a pain that is probably isn't worth the fun of playing the duel. I would sit in a room for hours as random people wander in and out, none of them duel-able for several reasons.
1. Their elo is too low and I literally gain less than 1 elo or even 0 elo when I win.
2. They are below rank 5 and belong in the beginner lobby.
It has become plainly obvious why it is increasingly hard for me to find duels.
A. People are too stingy about their elo. A number that is next to worthless appearing next to their name when you click on it. Quite honestly, people are so afraid to lose their elo that they refuse to take any duel where they could possibly lose. People's elo mean almost nothing to me, you can be a great player with subpar elo for all I care.
Is this really the mentality you want to have as a competitive player? What kind of competitive player refuses to challenge themselves and only play it safe. What do you learn playing the same noobs over and over? Almost nothing and you reinforce bad habits that will hurt your chances when you play an actual opponent.
----------------- Yes I understand that people like clovis wants to preserve their elo, but clovis wont even 1v1 me anymore. I also get that people like Laochra are incredibly busy and can't always be available for duels.
B. People are afraid to challenge themselves.
I've noticed that everybody, including myself at one point, decides to play it safe and never play a game that is too challenging. Stop playing it safe and take a risk for once.
Basically what I observed from all of this is that:
Dueling and competitive play have become more about winning safe games and getting better numbers than improving yourselves as a player.
Can we all stop playing it safe and letting dueling stagnate?
This rant is probably going to change nothing since it is human nature to focus more on the negative aspects of things. A loss duel hurts a lot more than a dozen winning ones.
PS. Thanks to all the people who will duel anybody without regards for their elo and focus on improving themselves rather than pad a worthless number.

"This rant is probably going to change nothing" Don't talk about it, be about it! Make changes yourself, don't come to the forums and publicly do this alone. PM some of these people, support your cause. However nothing can ever be done to solve this issue, There will always be cowards and such. Goodluck

Laochra,as someone who only plays the same map again and again,always same funds,I think you the last one who can judge me.You better than me only in one specific type of gameplay.Europe 10k.Thats all you know.I dont know how this is considered skill.You call my gameplay problematic,yet you the one who when gets killed by a strategy,instead of saying "i will try and improve and kill him" you go on forums and start complaining about that strat is "op" and must be nerfed. Your ego is way too damn high.Also i dont trashtalk,other players do though.All I do is telling the truth wihout sucking any mods or admins and that as it seems bothers you.I get it.As for that CW i played safe to avoid risk.Remember that spain failed in Paris so i was 1vs2.Of course i would play safe.And i wanst dead by turn 5 and certainly you didnt kill me.UK came and caped me.I mean beside spamming inf what else you can do? I know everything about AT including tbs etc.Also atleast I when i lose to a strategy I dont go cry in forums.I try to improve and learn better.Lastly calling me low skill means that all those players i have beat are noobs? You make no sense.And yes europe 10k is all about memorazing and guessing corectly.You just spam inf and move it around.I have killed many "competitive players" as you call them europe 10k fags.What does that mean? I dont know you very well,aI dont know if you a good guy,all i know is that truth bothers you.Its ok.It happens with many people.

Royal, come on, you say other people don't duel you cause they have a big elo difference yet you probably do the same... change yourself first, then complain about others. Btw, have you considered dueling at a different hours? Late at night there are less players. You are one of those people stagnating duels by yourself actually. What settings do you usually duel on? 95% 10k Eu+? What strategy do you use? 75% PD? If that's not stagnation, then idk what stagnation might mean to you. As a matter of fact, I'm trying to start duels in other maps such as Destoria and Dreamworld, which both seem nice maps to play in and have standard units but barely anyone joins. People seem to prefer Ancient, but not too many people anyway. Well, it doesn't matter, as you say it's just elo. Don't duel if you don't think it's worth the chance and problem solved

How did i "lost badly" ? Lol waffel you AW best troll.Only reason i lost was that wall in the poland city.He only had berlin which i failed to recap for like 7militia  .Anyway i asked him for rematch and he was too scared.Anyway laochra tell me where you want to duel?
