Couple of movies I personnaly like and or worth mentioning I guess.

Labyrinth
The movies surreal, and fucking crazy...see the connetion?
Return to Oz
Another, fucking crazy and disturbing movie, damn wheelers...scared the shit outta me as a child...
Schindlers list
Weve all seen it, disturbing, b&w, but a damn good movie.
The book of Eli
Many people dont like it for its religous background, frankly I like anything post apocalyptic like this (almost changed my name to fallout a good 5 times ^^)
Judge dredd
Okay, alot of people hate this movie, but I love it, friigin police officers and judges in one...sounds liek current american government....

Okay, I started it off for all of you, your turn.

Logan's Run

I watched this movie for the first time today, and I can say without a doubt it's one of the most beautiful ones I have ever seen in my short life. The sheer basis of living for vanity instead of experience (and with this ideal being subsequently abolished near the end, with the downfall of Sanctuary) mirrors our current world's ideals strikingly, and gives me the drive to change it. I urge all of you to watch this aged movie at least once, it's truly amazing.

Of stuff already mentioned, Serbian film was indeed pretty sick but I liked it as well as Ducker and Dale vs evil.

Of my favs, the latest really good movie i saw was -

Moonrise Kingdom - Bill Murry and Bruce Willis looking for a couple of 12yo. kids who ran away from home

For older ones

Pulp Fiction - Tarantino movies are getting worse and worse with every new one he makes. I used to really like his films and this is from when he still had it

Funky forest: The first Contact - Great to watch with your friends and lol on the wtf scenes, but also great to watch alone and realize just how deep this may be... if you figured out what was going on.

Immortal (Ad Vitam) - this is kind of like a mixture of few other films I enjoyed = 5th element + tank girl + aeon flux

human Centipede 2 - maybe not as sick as Serbian film or even the first Human Centipede, but what I really liked about this, was just how grim it was

Godzilla: Final wars - I actually like all the Godzilla movies but this one, imo, is the best

Flying Dagger(1993) - the colorful characters of this one make it stand out from other king-fu flicks .. which, I should say, is another one of my favorite genres

I like Aliens, that was great, but i think a film about warhammer 40k, well made, good actors, and 3d effects about a guardsman (conscript, cadian, death korps) is trying to surive, fighting against chaos, orks or the best, tyranids, this would hit the charts.

We can only dream.

Although 40k is too big for just one movie, you'd need atleast a quadrilogy to scratch the surface. the entire LOTR Trilogy would be like the intro :s otherwise pleb audience members will be like hurr uhruhru durr

Better to make avatar 2 than Warhammer 40K: attack on terra

Holywood would shit on it from a great height. The themes are too dark and wouldnt be covered or they would be openly mocked. Either that or it would be a bland, big, dumb action film like transformers. I'm certain they will make it once they run out of remakes for remakes and you'll regret your words when requesting a film for it.

The film would be about a Space Marine and an Ork who have to work together and along the way find how similar they are and how the endless war is so pointless.

Avatar is one of the highest grossing films ever made. That's why they will get a sequel, to squeeze out more from the money bucket. Most hollywood movies don't make a profit, they depend entirely upon their big sellers or quick cash ins to make money. Mega movies have been bombing for years. I assume most fo the money goes to producers because some titles with 200 million price tags make zero sense to me.
