Hi, me and Xeno discovered that the words ''hack'', ''hacked'', ''hacker'', and ''hax'' are banned from chat aka not making msg go through. Don't know if this is a bug or intentional so decided to post just in case. Please inform if intentional. edit: haxor and hax0r are also banned edit2: haxx and hackk also banned

Havent been as active ok, and surprised no one bothered to report this if admins make a change this big (yes, its big) and basically add another restriction that mods regulate they should inform us beforehand to prevent confusion and threads like these... better for everyone

This list of 'banned' words has been in the existence for many months. These same words you report above as not passing through didn't pass through either many months before.

Agree. I fail to see the benefits of using this filter in that way.

I don't necessarily have a problem with it my problem is not letting the community in on this feature (rather our messages not going through and thinking there's something wrong, and then figuring it out). Also no you're mistaken, I was using these words before and Enigma was literally ''spamming it to WH in pr'' about a few minutes before we discovered this. I think this feature good to prevent spam, hate speech, and out of hand cussing, but what was not good was not letting the community know that certain words they say are not allowed as you say months ago. To create a sense trust and reliability between admins and players you need the medium (mods) to be open to transferring ideas from both sides and constantly updating us on important issues. The chat filter is a significant change to our gaming experience, thus the message must be communicated with the same level of importance. I realize you didn't want much attention to it and wanted it to be an unknown regulation to prevent drama and such, but either way you still got the same reaction from the people who discovered it. The difference now is instead of it being some troll or forum-fighter's comments with a few words gaining some upvotes against censorship, it's become my problem (which has amplified it) with not even informing us of this. I'm not saying make an announcement to the news and blog forum, but at least let us know through global messages or a small forum post somewhere that this is a thing and there's some words that would ruin a whole paragraph if we typed them. Now we know this isn't a bug, so feel free to move it to gen. discussion or lock it.
