03.10.2013 - 09:58 Addition to Map and Scenario Maker I tried out Europa Universalis 4 and I noticed how lacking our maps are compared to their one massive complicated map. There are some changes and additions that I wish to propose to help our map makers to try and match Paradox game maps and at the same time make it easier in some aspects. Very simple option. Just keeps all player in peace since turn 1 until one of them declares war. This would help massively in maps like Colonial Empires and even an Alternate world. Just the option to give cash to a player. Right now you can remove income/cash from a player with special buildings but you can't add cash to a player. Will help in many maps like World War 1 Russia. Proposed by Tik-Tok earlier, its just a small change that is to increase the man length of the unit description box. You might think this is useless but it is not. In games where there are more than 50 different units, you will need to state the attack and defense bonuses for a unit against another. Right now you can give the country to make certain units. Not something major but its nice to have it added. Will help when making maps like Victoria II and Europe Universalis 4. Slightly more complicated than the others above it so read multiple times before posting. This is an option to make someone have an alliance with another player ever since the start of the game. The default would be everyone at peace but the scenario maker to reorder to have say Portugal and France have an alliance every since turn 1. The alliance can either be set to "non-breakable" or "breakable". Will help in making the map more realistic and add some spark to diplomacy. Cavalry, cannons, artillery, etc. These help add variety to the game and make it easier for you to know what unit you are picking. Replacing the idea of puppet states. A new diplomatic option you become allies with the senior partner in exchange you give him 20% of your income and 1/4 of your SP at game end. You also become at peace with everyone except those at war with the senior partner. Benefits would be you are protected, the only way to kill you would be to declare war on the senior partner. To stop abuse only the junior can end the vassalization. Medic, officer etc. I recently played Medieval Europe 1150 with Knight of Honor soundtrack it was epic and just motivates you to continue playing the map so you get where i'm going. In many of my scenarios I find them very lacking... I really wish there was some sort of advanced diplomacy in the game, like making certain factions unable to ally each other instead of having teams. In a political scenario with several major powers and double the amount of minors those factions will fight each other for land and vassals, but just in case that takes forever I would like another option to put a limit on the time they cannot be allied, just so they can ally end if they get bored and the war is just a complete stalemate. In several scenarios this would work, very good since I think atWar ''needs to be more diplomatic''. Just feels a bit lacking with three options in the game and sending money.

Actually not very true; they try to go through the forums and improvements (updates) are done permanently... probably not at the pace we would love to see and not always including what we personally define as priority. BUMP: this is a map/scenario-making priority!
