Duel league

Hello,

I have a suggestion to replace the duel season: a duel league
for exemple: 30 players, each has to play twice every other player, one match home one match away (u pick map/setting for ur home match, other guys gets first pick). so u have 3 months to play 58 games.
in order to avoid inactivity, matches could be forced start as casual 48 hours at pre-defined days, so whoever doesnt join the game is considered forfeiting.
every match HAS to be a duel, and the pre-requisite to be part of the league is 1) to register 2) 30 best overal elo are taken in

It's a good idea, but why does it have to replace the duel season? You could have the two separately.

I dont think we have enough activity to maintain both and current Elo based system has too many flaws imo

It can be nice, but still would fail to obvious reasons. I also dislike the fact that you have to be constantly under the pressure and have to play AtWar every day.

On one hand, we want to discourage inactivity. On the other hand, we don't want to force duels.

Seems contradictory, the solution is probably an intermediate between those two.

I personally have no problem forcing duels, it's a league with a schedule, u cant play ur game u forfeit, like in any competition...

I don't think many of you understand why the clan season and duel season are structured in an open to everyone manner. The current system allows for flexibility and gives players with limited time a chance to compete. Yes, you can't really make it into the top 3 unless you play the game everyday but most of us who don't compete for that reason.

The current system does have its flaws and does have to be addressed but we don't need to alienate a majority of duelers to suit the needs of a few. Next time you come up with a suggestion I suggest you think it through and make sure it benefits all of us and not just you.

We don't want a competitive season to turn into a tournament. That's the point.

I really really like this idea and support it fully , i dont understand why people say what if others dont have time to do the duels
The season is 3 months and you have around 60 duels to play thats like 2 duels every 3 days im sure everyone has time and its really similar
like the tournaments that we host , if you dont have time and are away from aw for long periods of time dont sign up... those that were active and played
and won all of their tourney matches got trophies and it will be same in the duel season , all those that play and win all their duels will get a trophy i dont see any flaws

What if you can play 10 duels during a couple days but then have other things to do and cant come back in a couple days? Besides, we already know many people will sign in and never play those matches. In this case, the duel "league" would be a total failure
