Not sure if I should post this under "Questions" or "Ideas and suggestions", I might have missed an existing thread about that... I'll try it here for now. I exclusively play casual games, and i'd like to get involved in duels. Looks like fun. But ... we can't start casual duel games in "solo" mode. Typically, for non-duel casual games, we would start a game, solo, choose a country, wait for people to join, and produce nothing on turn 1 (to be fair since we are the only player that joined at turn 0). I could see 2 reasons why we can't apply the above method to duels: 1- The player that started the game CAN produce on turn 1 (and now that Elo rating is involved, that would bring the unfairness to a new level) 2- Maybe this technique could bias your Elo rating upward, if you always choose your country first (although people feeling disadvantaged would simply not join, and I doubt there is a single undebated best first pick for most of the maps). Are these the reasons why we can't start casual duels? If so, did I miss any suggestion about it in the forum? If not, I could start by one: We could be allowed to start the game "solo", but instead of going straight to turn 1, it could remain to turn 0 until a second player joins. Then, there could be a pick phase where the 2 players select their country with "random" priority, and THEN turn 1 would be triggered. But ... I suppose that's a lot of development efforts for the size of the casual player population (actually, do we have any kind of figure about the ratio of quick / casual game players? Should start a poll on the matter... Maybe we live among you and you don't even know about us...) Thank you folks, have a great day!

There has been some (if not many) complains about this supposed turn 0 in casual games... as far as I know, still no answer from admins to this point which is really frustating...

Just want to add to this thread the fact that the new "General: Rally The Troops" upgrade also causes a problem for casual games, since only the first player starting at turn 0 will get the extra reinforcement, not the other players joining on turn 1... Just another point in favor of the turn 0 for casual games...
