I don't know if this could be counted as a cultural achievement, but I'd say it's the internet. (technically its not invented in the 21st century but I'm talking about It's modern form)

If we're talking in terms of absolute achievement, I'd have to disagree. The greatest cultural achievement of the 21st century has been the Left's domination of western culture, not western culture's domination of the world.

Internet is more science & tech achievement.
Hmm, the first thing that comes to mind (atleast mine) are movies. Can that be considered cultural achievement? It is part of art, but can it really be compared to art such as music and literature? For example, German literature and music from 1600-1800 didn't need economic muscle in order to dominate world culture, while US movies would be nothing compared to what they are now thanks to the economy of the nation they're produced. What i'm trying to say is that it is West's economy that dominate the world, and culture just use that 'paved' road as easy access to us, while not being competitive enough to go '1v1' with other cultures.

Hentai long predates your sexual fantasies, Alex. It's an integral part of my family's heritage. We go on obscure sexual escapades every Christmas Eve, where we assume the roles of our favorite Hentai characters. This is by no means an invention of the 21st century. You ignorant fool.

An outstanding cultural achievement is the "democratization" of culture, the spreading of music, movies, digital books & articles and video games in every corner of the Earth, not only in the global economic powerhouses. This is probably the extension of the development of the culture of the masses in the XIXth century when in a short period of time cheap books in numerous edition were printed, serial novels appeared in newspapers (probably the "ancestor" of the movie series). The masses were finally able to afford large numbers of books of a reasonable, mass quality! Also, sports competitions like boxing, football or the revival of the Olympics helped especially the working and middle classes to vent their fury and passions on a favorite team or athlete. So now in the 21st century, you can watch a looot of things online. You can read so much online or on a kindle as the digitization (a blessing of this century) is taking swing as never before. You don't even have to have a laptop, or a PC. I can do it on my smartphone which is like 5x times more powerful than the first PC I had15yrs before. Probably this is the greatest cultural achievement of this century, the fact that we are nearer to culture than any human being ever was in history. With my phone in hand I'm more informed than Zenodotus of Ephesus in the middle of the Library of Alexandria. The shabby medieval monks working all day in their dim lighted scriptorium don't even count. The modern huge libraries can rival with this achievement, but some of you know how hard is to get certain books, articles in a huge library. The question is what do we do with this powerful tool/s? Do we mindlessly play games on it or do we use it in a balanced and mature way?
