To avoid losing work if, say, your internet cuts out mid-edit, or anything of the sort, all of the work you do on a map is saved like a cache for 24 hours. If you access a map within that period, the edits you made are still present, though not permanent until you save it.

Support, though may be a bit of a strain on the servers.

Thats way to much server strain :/ It takes a while to manually save to now. Imagaine how it would be when your making a map to have it auto upload to a chache every 5, 10, 20 minutes :/

Well, they upgrade the server every year it seems...why not just buy more?

Large risk for something that affects an unfortunately small minority. I would love for this, but unless they are making a large enough amount of money from atWar, I don't see them upgrading the servers as extensively as would be required.

I feel like that's the trouble with this game, we all act like we're limited in ideas and principles of the game.

Is saving after making a change so difficult? This would be a good addition but not really needed. I'd rather they focus on other stuff.

Overall I support but don't think this is required.

You can't save mid-border making. And just try to re-do non-European Russia after spending two hours making it as autistic as possible. Not to mention the fact that even though I saved SIXTY TIMES during one map-making session I still lost all progress.

Nonetheless, I do feel they should focus on other cartography things.
