Allow Elites to Mute Players from Help Channel

Well the help channel has been a huge success. Just take a look at the link below. Multiple spammers, so mods be sure to read through all of it. Sorry :/

Much of the time a mod is not online. I propose we allow elite players (the guys with the little dot) to mute players off the help channel if they are trolling. If they misuse this function, they lose it, obviously.

I think mutes should be limited. Like 10 minutes.

I don't really think this is necessary. Mods have access to chat logs and anyone who abuses help chat will be punished regardless of whether or not a mod is online at that particular moment.

We are so lucky hdrakon isn't a troll anymore. I think it'd be more useful if we could just stop trolls and spammers then and there instead of waiting for the mods to come online and ban another alt account. There's almost always an elite player online when a mod isn't. I think idiots spamming help channel is a little more serious than global/room chat spam.

No, Muting in general makes people angry and they will continue to troll/or be more strong willed in their attempts. Adding people with the ability to mute is the worst idea possible. Besides Elite was kind of given out to anyone who wants it.

This is why this is the stupidest idea I've ever heard. I don't even think the status of elite should have existed in the first place, and we sure as hell shouldn't be giving them moderator privileges.

fruit is right. again again again.

tesla is very right about fruit being right again. Mods that can mute them when they are online + the log that is kept is enough I think
