03.01.2019 - 19:20 Ended Conclusion: Lack of interest, placed on hold Hello! On behalf of the supporter team, I would like to officially announce the first steps into creating a new merchandise store for atWar. But first off we need to see if we have sufficient interest from the community. If you will LEGITIMATELY buy rad atWar merchandise please vote above. If not please equally vote above. (Don't worry merchandise will be designed with community input) If garnered enough interest, this will become a reality. Thanks! [b]

Greetings & Salutations, What about T-Shirts representing the different strats, or even clan names and/or logos on them. I got it, a u-design Atwar T-shirt. It allows you to include different facets of AtWar that you personally want on the T-Shirt. Obviously there would be certain requirements such as the AtWar logo, but maybe you could have options for different logo styles? You could include your player name, if you really wanted anyone to know who you are. Some players may not want that, should be totally optional. Clan names as well, with clan banner/logo.and even maybe your favorite strat. Game clip? or screen shot? Eh? Anyways I would pay for a customizable T-shirt. What about having your official AW signature on a cup? Alrighty then, I'm done ranting. Respectfully, WM Dak

Not sure. Depends on what it would be, what it looks like and price. Nalgene bottle? Winter hat? Hoodie?

We will be taking community input once we have determined that their is sufficient interest. To answer your suggestions, I think having clan names in a letter form is a great idea. Logistically/cost it would be pretty difficult to do custom.

Greetings again, To expound upon my earlier statement about a U-design T-shirt. AtWar logo should be the most predominant feature of the shirt. Maybe the back is where you could have a game clip or such placed with a small AW logo and the front would have a large AW logo. Things like Player name, clan name or even trophies could be placed on the sleeves. Strats could be incorporated on the front or back. Of course the graphics would need to be cool and game related and specific. And obviously nothing profane, nasty, derogatory, demeaning to another player and needless to say completely non-toxic.And this could be translated into hoodies as well. Hats maybe too. Respectfully, WM Dak

I think that is a terrible assumption to make, given advances in shipping today.

Personally I wouldn't, and many people would agree. Unless we have a good reason to support the game in its current state, nobody has a reason to buy AW merchandise. Many of us are not wealthy enough to be able to afford such merchandise either. Overall it'd be a waste of time and resources to invest in this silly idea.

Yeah because how dare you be stupid enough to want to support a game you spend a lot of time on and want to try to see prosper.

As Dave already mentioned (many times) he don't want to promote the game until he fixes some bugs / improve the game and it will take about a year. Even if he brings 1000 new users about 90% or more will abandon the game. So until then he needs some sort of income he will not pay from his own pocket for us to enjoy the game.

A tag for my dog, with my rank + a strategy name would be adorable. As for atwar shirts/hats? I rather be shot death. But i am open to the idea of cups/shots that sizes depend on the rank

AtWar Merchandise seems positive. Amok and Ivan tried it once but disgracefully failed. But then again, they did it when AtWar was hitting an all-time low and instead of editor-focusing, they tried a marketing logistical stunt that failed. However, as said, this idea is certainly positive, but there needs to be a stabilization of the game stricto-sensu, so that in a more abstract way, some profitability engineering can actually be held, such as marketing.

The numbers dont stack up to make it viable unfortunatley, branded merchandise is only commercially viable if there is enough demand on 1000 units+, which at present at war will never sell anywhere neear that level, unless of course people are happy to pay a premium, even with t shirts, the most obvious of merchandise sold at a loss, however and didnt even sell out over a year with 100 units. A lott of players were just dumping protocoins to purchase one. Then you need to figure out international shipping on one off lines and how thats is then factored in the price plus the logistics.

Merchandising right now is a shit-tier idea, unless it's something interesting like a coffee table book going over the history of this game or something. I'd drop €20 on something like that, but the generic T-Shirts/Hats etc crap won't ever sell.
