Game Over: Turn 5

Consul Aurum filibustered the senate phase and no major decisions could be made, this resulted in [9/9] unrest and the Roman republic gave itself away to the Mob.

If you want to see the results of turn 1-4 send me a Pr, i have all the statics and pictures.

So should I respond now or wait till Tito's nominations?

Also, will this all be kept on this topic or will a new post be created each turn?

in a situation like this you have to focus on either navy or the army , going both ways will strech our economy too much we are still a young nation for Jupiters sake... xD
What do you propose we do Senator Phoenix?

Focus for now on building a strong army for defence until Rome strong enough to switch focus to navy. Let Carthage suicide on our Legion hordes! (Strategy: Perfect Defence)
Rome never had a good navy irl anyways.

If we have to invest more heavily in one it should be the navy, we can blockade their trade ports and slow down their arrival. Plus what if we need transport for our legions?

Since Carthage outnumbers our fleet completely we should instead focus on ground troops and invade Sicilia. Then we spam navies from Sicilia and win.

I nominate Ghost-Face and Darth for Consuls. Mail.ru for Pontifex and Dereny for Censor.

I reject bribe, and skip for knights.

p.s.
since we rp ancient rome, i believe there is more suitable name for soldiers than knights. knights are from middle ages, while rome had hundred of cavalry and infantry names. also carthage troops, instead legions it can be mercenaries, instead fleet it can be flotilla or something, so we can make clear distinction between friendly and enemy troops, ask aetius about the names, he made ancient scenarios.

p.p.s
deja vu while writing p.s... did we already rp in the past?

I forgot to propose policy concerning our legions and fleet and its commanders.

Proposition:

- 5 more fleets and 1 legion to be created
- Carthage have 2 times more troops than us, so i don't propose any action against them
- proposed troop commanders, in order:

Phoenix: Commander of the 1st Legion
Zeph: Commander of the 2nd Legion
Phoenixking: Commander of the 3rd Legion
Commando: Commander of the 4th Legion
Nero: Commander of the 5th proposed Legion

Fappino: Admiral of the entire Roman fleet (use your portuguese colonialism power and enrich Rome)

What's their navy like?
They have 8 legions right?

I accept all propositions.

Any means of generating revenue for Rome should be pursued. Perhaps we can afford to attack Carthage next turn.

Can someone shed some light on how we can get richer?

For rome to become richer they need to get more provinces (by being victorious in wars), players can donate to the roman treasury during their revenue turn (you get popularity by donating certain amount)

When a war is won, loot is also generated.

For a player to make individual money they need to become governors of provinces, accept bribes, have more "knights" equites, selling equites.
