Hotkeys and other in game time saving tips and tricks

This is a bit of a noob post. I want to know of all the fastest ways to do anything and everything during game play to make the most of the limited time per turn.

But more specifically I want to know the following......

1) On a city's production screen instead of right clicking .. say..8 times to make 8 infantry for example, is there a button I can hold on the key board that will allow me to click once and produce max units?

2) is there a way I can drag a stack and click a single button on my keyboard like "cntrl+1" to release 1 unit at a time, allowing me to build walls etc quicker? As opposed to clicking the stack, bringing up the slider and and clicking for each unit I want to seperate?

1 thing I've learnt is that you can click a players name in the chat in order to start private messaging them instead of clicking "private" then finding their name in the box next to it and talking to them, took me a while but I eventually found out...

Any kind of time saver/short cut you can think of would be awesome, every second counts.
