RA is fine at what it does at current, it is a bit like ds in nature and is actually very strong at expansion stealing. I dont support overboosting it in this regard. What mauzer said has stuck with me. All strategies should be difficult to play. RA is definitely one of the easiest. Edit: Didnt notice ra tanks were changed to 90 cost, yea thats a bit crazy, theyre one of the most powerful offensive units in the game, clearing even pd inf with relative ease. With a decent economy you could confront pd directly and crush it outexpanding and outmaneuvering it. Other strats like imp gw etc wont stand a chance. I would support a return to 100 cost. hmmm i must play around with ra in some 1v1s for the laugh.

The inf nerfing doesn't really affect RA. As i said RA players buy tanks. It's a boost of RA there that wasn't needed

Forget about it. Blitz was -2 defense, and was popular, then boosted to -1 defense, a 50% boost and became super popular. Then it was refined. - Literally the easiest strat to play, requires the least rangeskills. - Defense nerf was more than substituted by general presense, and made more powerful by the capability to bring more numbers to defend due to the huge range. - Huge expansion capabilities and versatility. - Could be played anywhere. For gods sake you could blitz slowroll on Africa 3k And cause problems for gw and imp. How about trying for a little objectivity and dropping this whole blitz crying nonsense all over the place. This thread is about RA. Forget about blitz, it will never go back. Doesnt matter how many inexperienced low and dare i mention high ranks who vote otherwise.

Last i remember RA tanks costed 110 ...had no idea it was ever 100 yet alone 90. And 90 cost for that kind of strong attacking unit made me wonder why i ever used blitz to rush people, when RA tank stack can massacre the shit out of everything. Btw. correct me if i'm wrong, but RA tanks have 6 defense in general stack, 5 defense with upgrades (there aren't any) ...why do i remember that number being lower. I mean for fuck sake ...PD infantry has 7 defense.

yea i remember in a cw some r7 rushed my t1 expansion with ra, i was IF ireland as a r10 with full upgrades and hit paris. He was belg and hit it too. He crucified me. I was so shocked i thought id witnessed a bug until i replicated the results with tests.

I just remember the -10 boost for RA tanks from 110 to 100. When and why did -20 and boost on tank defense came? ...and defense is same as RA infantry, basically meaning infantry in RA is a useless unit with same cost same defense, but weaker attack. EDIT: pardon me... inf is 80 cost with upgrades.

The 100 boost was back at the first round of strat changes i proposed. The 90 must be from cthulhus suggestion in the 2nd thread. I didnt realise Ivan had implemented it. Cthulhu had also proposed nerfing the tank defense though to counter it, that didnt happen.

PD infantries have 9 defense, 10 against Tanks. IMO infantries are best depending whenever you think +2 critical advantage from Tanks or +1 defense from infantries is stronger. @On Topic: RA is fine for a strategy that lacks of defensive capacity. Going full Relentless is even in the name of the strategy... lol

I believe RA tanks got buffed two times by mistake instead of once... first they got the -10 cost and then again when tanks got -10 cost in general for all strategies. There is a solid foundation. Compare main attacking unit of Sky menace which is bombers with RA tanks which are stronger, have same defense and can take cities yet their cost is 40 cash less then bombers. And i don't think lesser range justifies the difference.

Looks like we had see different games. IMO RA is just so damm poor at lategaming, and does lack of defensive capacities. Plus, for break a wall you must spend minimal $40 on a militia, $80 on a infantry if it is too far away, #90 on a tank for most cases, etc.... you get my point I guess.

It changes up the game a little. Everyone wants updates and I've seen people say the game has gotten "boring" so this should be fun! It will challenge stale playing strategies and challenge "conventional" wisdom. Take it as a challenge to massacre any RA player you come across....IF YOU CAN!

I wouldn't say it lacks any defensive capacities unless you're playing against another RA player, in which case it would be useless to defend with tanks. If you're attacked with inf (4 attack), tanks win by defense value (5 def). In any case, RA is not about defending, it's about massacring. So, you'd leave your cap wide open as bait, wait for him to attack it with everything and then take it back. Easy!

Tb is actually crucial for any strategy. But if I had to chose the most vulnerable to tbs, that would be SM, not RA. You usually get militias when conquering a city, so that's no problem at all lol
