OK so can someone tell me if there is something wrong with me or with ppl who i play. Some ppl team up against me and when its clear that i have been defeted they continue to beat me, and they end game in alliance. Sometimes when i backstab someone bc i calculate it will be profitable i get accursted of begin traitor. The point is i see the goal of random matches with open teams to be last standing man, not ending in alliance. Its natural for small nations to team up against bigger one, and backstab your allay when he will get too much ground. In my opinion two men who hold half of the europe each and rape everyone else in euroasia game are ruining the game. If they want teamgame they sould play True World War 2 or something like that with fixed teams. Am I right, or i'm struggling against commuinty current?

You are right, i have far more respect for players that lose with honour then players that are winning cowardly. Some people look at win/lose ratio, witch doesn't say a think when you ally up with your enemies. However, there isn't much to do against this. If you want a game where they don't backstab you just play with one of the following rules: - Teamgames or 1v1 - No alliances games - Scenario's with fixed teams And: Always try to play without allies and only ally if you have no other choice. At least, thats what i try to do in public games.

And then there are those who send everybody an alliance and you are given no choice to accept or you will be their only enemy. there should be a rule where you can only request three alliances per turn.

This is exactly what i did when i was on a lower rank . I have to say i rarely play public games since i think its not really fair most of times. I prefer teamgames or 1v1 with people i know.

I always hold my alliances. The peace treaties.. well, that not so much. But then again, I'm one of those guys who allies when there's no other choice.

I rarely do this (maybe once a week to a month) I also like Hugo don't play that many games anymore. Probably around 3 or 4 a day. So when I back stab I'm only doing it cuz I'm greedy and want SP. I favor team games too but I play more standard and world games than any other type. Even sometimes when I plan to back stab someone and use them to take out another player so I don't have to it rarely goes into effect. I might just purpose peace then never declare war. Some player's you can literally tell what their gonna do next just by reading their moves. (I have a bad pokerface this move reading works on me too) So I'm guessing the moral of this story is don't backstab or I late join you.

Just don't ally anyone... If you lose, you lose. I don't think anyone actually cares about win/loss. All you can do is gain experience and improve.

I do that too, sometimes results in a 3v1(me) situation but that's still much better than having someone betray you when you've put trust in them.

Those can be tough but if all 3 of them are on 1 side of you its easier. That and you can use bulk to defend/counter against them.

26.01.2012 - 10:46 Theres bitch fightes like this one in close to every game, it's like playing with 12 y/o girls. So naturally you can't expect any honor or respect when playing them. Turnblocking, mass allying, picking on far inferior enemies, trolling. This community is a disgrace and will always be, so learn to deal with it. I can only imagine how much fun this game would be if everyone could respect each other. Also, I wanted to use this post to say that I despise most of the people here. Have a nice day.

So you don't like when people late join on you, but still do it yourself. I will never get that logic. There will be no anger on both sides if you just take it like a man. I mean, you late joined countless of times on me and we're still bros. See what I did there?

Lets just agree as good players to not late join so much. My example is zizou. He even got a phrase to go with it. -_- They call it "I just got zizou'd." Bottom line is that late joining is annoying so just leave joining limit at 1-2 weeks to prevent massive trolls.

The system is currently built to encourage alliance win and alliances piggyback riding to victory... People who win alliance victories should not get bonus SP IMO...

I think your a bit off on that. 1st of all ally wins aren't encouraged at all. Thats one reason we all start out "AT WAR" in games. And getting no SP from it would be very cruel to those who don't get very much and ally win win to keep what very little they have.

It is encouraged because the community in large gets enraged when you backstab a former ally. This social aspect drives alliance Victory even more and together with alliance sp sharing it just becomes depressing. You cant switch alliances off unless you pay( i wont even start on this) o you are basically stuck in many games where one wins cause of the alliances he has as oppose to how good he is with in game strategy and tactics... Its sad and it breaks the fun.

There are several issues with allied victory enabled by default. 1)Imagine this: 2 players get to start on powerful countries like england and germany.. one of them might get france and than they ally and commence attacking the rest. Now if 2 allied players have 3 of the strongest countries in europe, you'd expect everyone around them to gank up on them but that doesn't happen because everyone wants to ally them. If you dont ally them, others will, which will mean you will become their target of attack and lose. Another major issue with allied victory is that friends tend to join games together and since they know they can win as an alliance, they secretly ally and immediately have a huge advantage. If allied victory was off by default this would not be possible or at least force them to do complex multi game planning which is far less likely to happen. In short allied victory discourages smart play to win and instead encourages passiveness, haggling and game breaking maneuvers like secret alliances of friends.

For 1 UK's not all that powerful. You just need to drive/keep them out of Germany, France, and Spain. That should do the trick. Also for the 2nd I don't think ally wins will be removed. Its a quite convenient way to end a game once everyone is bored of it.
