Hello guys
I have some suggestions about this game and i think this fits to both suggestions and general discussion therefore will post in both.
I think map makers have created great contents scinarios, maps and presets but some of them couldnt being played by the players becouse of different reasons. I will post that reasons from my own view at the below and will suggest my solutions to it ;
1. Bigger maps(same for scinarios and preset) which have 20 players couldnt be filled by players in some cases by the qualified players.
2. Leavers, impatient players , rage quiters
3. Coumunity - Atwar has players from around the world, with different cultures, with the different mind, opinions, experiences and attitudes to events
My suggestions:
Lets create single player mode
You can do this especially for the scinarios as i said content creators have created great maps i can explain it with 1 example - i love to play scinarios but i couldnt play 15-20 players scinarios with pleasure for example sinario players tryed to play ww2 maps in atwar's great days but they couldnt acieve it 80-90% of that tryes failed becouse of the leavers, noobs and rage quiters.
Personally i love Nifty's Midle Earth Scinario but i couldnt play it till now becouse it hadnt been filled or i hadnt found qualified players to play it with pleasure.
Single Player Mode will let everyone to play every scinario they love.
You can apply this to maps too.
It is hard to apply this to RP becouse rp players likes to talk and discuss while playing.
Guys you can make this game enjoyable for everyone with adding Single Player Mode and Half Single Player Mode to Maps, Scinarios and Presets.
Half Single Player Mode can be applied to scinarios especially it will let player to leave 1-10 spots for bots for filling games quickly players can use bots for less important spots this can be arranged my game hosts.
I amnt a Coder but with today's tech it isnt hard to do it. Also you can use AI and develop these modes by the time.
Additionally optimize game for mobile phones.
Nothing can stop you make BILLIONS!
Cheers!
P. S my english is too bad sorry only could explain this

Qardas anladim ama bu olamaz. Oyunun içinde herkez yapsa? Zaten oyunun içinde çok buglar var ve İvan ve Amok hiç bi bok yapmazlarki. Ama genelde güzel bir fikir.

First off, it would be pretty tough to have a challenging single player mode for this game, let me explain why.

1. Lack of Unpredictability - Chances are that the computer players will only be able to do basic moves such as always moving one stack of troops to the same place every turn. Even if you gave different options for that stack, after awhile you have a general idea of what the computer will do. It is hard to code this when you get into the nitty gritty details. And you need a good coder to do this....

2. Lack of Skills - Not a slam to Amok, but let's face it, he can't code the ability to save maps from the HTML5 editor to the atWar maps database, How in the world is he going to code an competent AI that can beat humans?

3. Lack of Funds - Let's say that my first two statements are incorrect, and Amok can do both of those. Amok does not have time to work on this game at the moment, because he has to work a main job to survive.

Second, the servers are so bad at the moment, if so many games had 20+ players, imagine the struggle on the server. Thanks for sharing your idea, I hope you understand my point.

It isnt hard to apply single player mode to this game if you have enough resources. This game and units has structure adding auto wall function for all cities of bots, stacking according to strategies, moving, attacking and defending all of these functions can be done.
I cannot say anything about amok's coding skills But i know it isnt possible these can be done by 1 person.
Also they can make business and technical plan and attract investors. Money will help them renew their old servers too
I think this game is next level of Classical Zynga's and other game developer companies' strategy games becouse content can be created by the users. Use this power create games in 1 game. For Example Zynga has different games for different stories but Atwar contains them all in 1 platform. Just need money, skilled coders and game designers.
You have Content Creators as i seen they are eager to create content.

Since you still see a possibility of singleplayer, let me further elaborate, i will illustrate just one problem an AI would have, turnblocking.

An AI would need to be able to understand the concept of turnblocks. It would have to know when a stack that should be tbed is in range to be tbed, as well as how many units should be sent in order to have a chance at successful turnblock. It would need to understand to move the units for the turnblock on the first move in order to have at least 50% chance. In what way could a coder code this, as well as code every other concepts of atwar.

And one more thing, you would need to code a different AI for every single map and preset. For example, you would play different in a EU+ 3v3 than you would in, say, a WWI scenario. The AI would need to be programmed according to the map, thus making the task harder for developers.

I dont mean to transform game to completely to Single Player Mode also you cannot create completely same copy of today's competetive playing environment with AI.
SPM would good alternative to play bigger maps as quick game. I mean it can increase playing interval of bigger maps, can protect and attract skilless players to game. These will make money and it will affect our competetive environment at least with better servers/

Brukerkonto slettet
Make this single player available on cd and then u can sell it in stores too as an alternative to the op graphics games which are available today. More headache, but maybe more money.
