Okay, how about this: when you go to the homepage/login screen, the cursor is already in the username box like how gmail login is. This would save the tedious task of starting to log in, then realizing that you weren't filling in the username and password fields, then going to click them, then logging in.

Anyone with me?

Yes, you should definitely change your browser. Firefox, Chrome and even IE (!!!) have options to save your login and password.
